Reconciliation Series Part IV: Holistic Approaches to Life and Living

Increase your awareness of holistic living in Lakeland's last event in its four-part reconciliation speaker series.

Holistic Approaches to Life and Living will be presented by Dwayne Donald and Elder Bob Cardinal. They'll explain the four-part person--mental, physical, emotional and spiritual--emerging as we learn to pay deeper attention to the interconnectivity of creation in our educational practices. Donald is a University of Alberta education professor whose Blackfoot named is Aipioomahkaa, and means long distance runner.

Each individual’s journey kistikwânihk êsko kitêyihk (Cree: from head to heart) maintains its integrity and unique voice as it is intentionally woven into the Cree principles of meskanaw (pathway), miyo waskawewin (to walk in a good way), and the Blackfoot concept of aokakio’siit (being wisely aware).
