Cereal and Flax Genetics Field Day

Join Lakeland College’s applied research team and witness the latest cereal and flax genetics performing in your local conditions.

On display will be a SeCan variety demo, Alberta Regional variety trials, and PGRs to manage lodging in cereals.

Wednesday, August 2, 2017
  • 10 a.m. – SeCan Cereal and Flax Genetics and Regional Variety Trials (CPS, HRS, SWS, SP wheat classes, feed and malt barley, feed and milling oat, and triticale genetics)
  • Noon – Lunch
  • 1 p.m. – Plant growth regulator use in cereals to reduce lodging
Directions to field site:
  • At Highway 619 and RR 73, turn north and travel for approximately one kilometre to the site entrance. Park on the roadside or lease road.
