    Key responsibilities:
    • Background and expertise in agriculture business and specifically in the areas of strategic marketing, sales and salesmanship, and agriculture business management
    • Course materials covered also include marketing and public relations (using print, web and social media), an agribusiness simulation course and the student managed enterprise course
    • Curriculum development, advising students in the AgBusiness program and working with the AgBusiness team to meet its mandate and goals
    • Classroom, lab, and field trip instruction, preparation and marking of assignments and exams, as well as participation in program and department meetings

    Job Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field with industry experience and knowledge
    • Experience in developing and delivering innovative course content and personal experience in relation to agri-business would be an asset

    Instructor, Agricultural Sciences (Crop Technology) Competition No: 18-2507-001WB
    Key responsibilities:
    • Background and expertise in crop production, agronomy and pesticide application
    • Expertise in the areas of integrated weed management and herbicide application, and pesticide application technologies
    • The work load covers ag communications, business records and reporting, guiding and mentoring the Student Managed Farm Crops Team on crop production and on sustainability and stewardship practices
    • Classroom, lab, and field trip instruction, preparation and marking of assignments and exams, as well as participation in program and department meetings

    Job Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field with industry experience and knowledge
    • The ability to work in both a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
    • Post-secondary teaching experience would be an asset

    Instructor, Accounting Competition No: 18-2101-002WB
    Lakeland College requires a dynamic instructor to teach accounting courses in the Business Department. The incumbent will be required to teach Accounting II, Intermediate Accounting I, Management Accounting, Business Mathematics, and Intermediate Accounting II.

    Job Requirements:
    • Accounting Designation, Master’s Degree preferred

    Instructor, Environmental Sciences No: 18-2605-001 WB

    Key responsibilities:
    • Expertise in Environmental Sustainability, Eco-site classification, Land-Use and Urban Ecology, and Project Management
    • Liaison with relevant industry representatives to ensure a strong relationship exists with the programs
    • Classroom, lab, and field trip instruction, preparation and marking
    • Participation in program meetings, departmental meetings and committees, supervising field trips and playing an active role in the development of the environmental sciences programs

    Job Requirements:
    • A Master’s degree, or close to completion, in a closely related discipline
    • Teaching and industry experience
    • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Agrologist with the Alberta Institute of Agrologists or as a Professional Biologist with the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists.

    This is a Sessional Part-time Faculty appointment at the Vermilion campus, commencing Mid August 2017 and ending May 4, 2018.

    Key responsibilities:

    •   Classroom, lab, and field trip instruction in practicum preparation and technical communications, preparation and marking of assignments and exams
    •   Coordinate and manage the editorial process for written capstone reports and seminars
    •   Conduct field site visits at host agencies during practicum placements
    •   Active role in industry liaison and student career counseling
    •   Participate at program/department meetings and committees
    •   Provide detailed science-based guidance on composition of technical reports and seminars, analysis and presentation of date, and application of common regulatory guidelines inside technical reports

    Job requirements:

    •   Minimum of a M.Sc. and appropriate industry experience
    •   Eligible for membership in AIA/APEGA and Association of Professional Biologist or similar professional organization

    Keys to your success:

    •   Strong academic and practical experience in environmental consulting, oil and gas, mining or related industries, and will develop and maintain student practicum placements with industry and government host agencies
    •   Discern key employable skills for students and employ a service-oriented philosophy with industry partners and professional organizations                    
    •   Expertise in electronic-based editorial supervision of industry or government technical reports, including delivery of constructive iterative feedback
