Director, Facilities & Infrastructure Competition No: 18-3300-001WB
Key responsibilities:
• Provide leadership in the planning, management and evaluation of the facility operations, including building repairs and maintenance, utility maintenance, construction, renovation and alteration of buildings, landscaping, grounds maintenance, security, custodial services and fleet management
• Institutional capital planning and acts as the main liaison among key stakeholders, including the College Leadership Teams, other Post-Secondary Institutions and government officials, ensuring college wide consultation and participation in the planning and implementation of capital projects

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in Engineering, architecture, facilities management or related discipline considered. Master’s degree is preferred. APEGA registration is desired, ASET would be considered
• Minimum 10 years of related experience managing a multi-facility complex, including the supervision of staff
• Experience in managing energy, water and waste conservation in buildings, and managing construction projects
• Preparing long-range strategic capital development plan and maintenance development plans
• Solid experience in management consultation, leadership development, team building and change management

This is a Full-time Continuing Administrative appointment at the Vermilion campus commencing January 2018, and includes a generous benefit package and pension plan.

Since its establishment in 1913, it has been a supportive partner in a geographic and economic region that features vibrant industries including agriculture and petroleum.  Boasting approximately 7,500 learners annually, the college aims to provide exceptional high-quality, high-engagement learning experiences to students in each of its programs.

Lakeland College is seeking an innovative, highly motivated individual to assume the key position of Dean, Business and Continuing Education.  The Dean is responsible for providing high quality educational and training programs in our Business department, which consists of the following programs: business administration, accounting, real estate appraisal and assessment, marketing, and small business and entrepreneurship.  The Dean will also lead our Corporate and Continuing Education department, which offers for-profit training that aligns with the needs of our regional labour market, and includes such programs as petroleum management, well site supervisor, power engineering, gas process operator and production field operator.

The successful candidate will be committed to student success and academic excellence, and have knowledge of industry training requirements.   As well, the candidate will possess exceptional fiscal management and strong interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be an outstanding communicator with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. A proven track record in achieving performance and strategic targets is essential, as is the ability to work in a collaborative environment, leading a team of highly committed faculty and staff.  

Reporting to the Vice-President Academic, the successful candidate will have a strong background in business, a successful teaching background at the post-secondary level, and a minimum of five years of leadership experience in the post-secondary environment.

This  is  a  Full-time Continuing  Administration  position  commencing  August 15,  2016  and  includes  a  comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
