On-Farm Energy Management Program Outreach Officer Competition No: 17-2608-002WB

You’ll deliver assistance to agricultural enterprises in the east-central region of Alberta who are adopting energy conservation and renewable energy technologies and accessing the Alberta Government’s On-Farm Energy Management program.

Key responsibilities:

• Ability to organize and conduct demonstrations, tours and workshops in the region to promote On-Farm Energy Management techniques
• Educate the community in renewable energy options
• Liaise with local industry
• Develop newsletters, articles, and other extension materials

Job Requirements:
• A valid driver’s license for extensive travel within the region
• Knowledge of western Canadian agriculture and farming practices

• Knowledge in renewable energy technologies
• Self-motivated
• Pay attention to detail
• Conduct duties in a professional and friendly manner with minimum daily supervision
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• A degree in Agriculture is preferable focusing on energy technologies, consideration will be given to those with less education and Agricultural Industry experience.

Marketing Research & Data Support Assistant Competition No: 17-2538-004WB
Key responsibilities:
• Supporting research marketing and communication activities
• Assisting with the organization of research information
• Providing administrative support to the department

This is a Casual AUPE appointment at the Vermilion campus, commencing as soon as possible and ending September 1, 2017.

Student Services Coordinator Competition No: 17-2710-004WB
Key responsibilities:
• Coordinate the operations of Student Services
• Provide leadership and support for other areas within the department
• Ensure consistent and accurate information is shared with students and other staff
• Identify students in crisis and works closely with chairs/faculty and other staff
• Administration of student financial aid for the Lloydminster campus
• Assist in the organization and development of special college events such as Registration Day, Donor Celebration, and Convocation
• Supervise a team of five
• Administrative duties for athletics scholarships and coordinating multiple intakes of students throughout the academic year

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Three years’ related experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong leadership, organization, problem solving, and decision making skills are required

This is a Full-time Temporary Administration appointment at the Lloydminster campus, commencing as soon as possible and ending December 31, 2017.

These casual AUPE appointments are to commence as soon as possible and ending June 30, 2016, with the possibility of extended employment past this date. The department operates year round, seven days per week, 24 hours per day, with three different shifts each 24 hour period. The day shift is 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., the evening shift is 4:15 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. and the night shift is 12:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. The successful candidates will be required to work up to a maximum of 32 hours per week (4 shifts) during the period of Monday to Sunday.















































The successful candidates will have a high school diploma and must be bondable. Security experience would an asset, but we are willing to train. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Preference will be given to candidates with the Alberta Basic Security Training Certificate. If you do not have this certificate we are willing to provide on the job training, which must be completed within the first 30 days of employment.

Campus Patrol Officers (Vermilion) Competition No: 17-3401-001WB
Lakeland College invites applications for Campus Patrol Officers at the Vermilion campus. Responsibilities will be to ensure the safety and security of students and staff during off-hours (evenings and weekends), and to patrol, inspect, and respond to any unusual situations in and around campus buildings and grounds.

These casual AUPE appointments are to commence as soon as possible and end June 30, 2017, with the possibility of extended employment past this date. The department operates year round, seven days per week, 24 hours per day, with two different shifts available. The evening shift begins at 4:15 p.m. and ends at 12:15 a.m. and the night shift begins at 12:15 a.m. and ends at 8:15 a.m. You may be required to work up to a maximum of 32 hours per week.

The Aquatic Centre requires Junior Lifeguard/Swimming Instructors who will be responsible for lifeguarding patrons, instructing swimming lessons, promoting a safe environment for patrons and staff, and general maintenance and cleaning.

The successful candidates will have the following qualifications: Bronze Cross, Bronze Medallion, Aquatic Emergency Care, National Lifesaving Society Certification, Water Safety Instructor Certification, and 02 Administration. Six months of experience working in an aquatic environment would be an asset.

These are casual AUPE appointments, at the Vermilion campus, commencing as soon as possible and ending June 30, 2017, with the possibility of extended employment past this date. Hours may vary.

Competition will remain open until suitable candidates are found.

The Aquatic Centre requires Senior Lifeguard/Swimming Instructors. Responsibilities include lifeguarding patrons, instructing swimming lessons, promoting a safe environment for patrons and staff, providing direction to Junior Lifeguards, and general maintenance and cleaning.

The successful candidates will have the following qualifications: Bronze Cross, Bronze Medallion, Aquatic Emergency Care, National Lifesaving Society Certification, Water Safety Instructor Certification, 02 Administration, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills. One year of experience working in an aquatic environment is required.
