Student Records & Timetabling Advisor Competition No: 17-2710-003WB

Key responsibilities:
•  Performs registration and records management for all Lloydminster full-time programs

Job Requirements:

This is a Full-time Temporary AUPE appointment at the Lloydminster campus, commencing April 24, 2017 and ending May 7, 2018. The current salary range is $3,586.83 - $4,520.33 per month.

Senior Communications Specialist Competition No: 17-5100-002WB
Key responsibilities:
• Planning and coordination of internal and external print and digital communications
• Works closely with departments throughout the college to develop engaging content for multiple channels
• Writing, editing and overseeing the development and production of a variety of print and electronic projects that represent Lakeland’s brand. This includes student recruitment publications, key messages, speeches, fundraising pieces, news releases, newsletters, annual reports and magazines.
• Assists in the planning and execution of the college’s marketing and communications strategy in alignment with institutional priorities, and crisis communication strategies

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Journalism
• Three years’ related experience
• Advanced writing and editing skills

Keys to your success:
• Experience using a website content management system would be an asset
This is a Full-time Temporary AUPE appointment at the Vermilion campus, commencing May 1, 2017 and ending May15, 2018. The current salary range is $4,800.08 - $6,048.83 per month.

Agronomist Competition No: 17-2514-001WB
Agronomist required to walk, scout and make agronomic decisions based on their expertise and experience for Lakeland College’s nearly 1000 acres of cropland.

Key responsibilities:
• Crop Agronomy Manager
• Maintain detailed notes; photos on insects, weeds, diseases, and thresholds as well as agronomy and fertility issues
• Learn the ‘COMPASS’ program to enter your paper notes electronically
• Scout every 7 to 10 days unless otherwise asked or serious problems arise which would result in additional scouting
• Support and value Lakeland College’s educational goals and objectives

Job Requirements:
• P. Ag or CCA with at least 5 years’ experience crop scouting

These casual AUPE appointments are to commence as soon as possible and ending June 30, 2016, with the possibility of extended employment past this date. The department operates year round, seven days per week, 24 hours per day, with three different shifts each 24 hour period. The day shift is 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., the evening shift is 4:15 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. and the night shift is 12:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. The successful candidates will be required to work up to a maximum of 32 hours per week (4 shifts) during the period of Monday to Sunday.















































The successful candidates will have a high school diploma and must be bondable. Security experience would an asset, but we are willing to train. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Preference will be given to candidates with the Alberta Basic Security Training Certificate. If you do not have this certificate we are willing to provide on the job training, which must be completed within the first 30 days of employment.

Campus Patrol Officers (Vermilion) Competition No: 17-3401-001WB
Lakeland College invites applications for Campus Patrol Officers at the Vermilion campus. Responsibilities will be to ensure the safety and security of students and staff during off-hours (evenings and weekends), and to patrol, inspect, and respond to any unusual situations in and around campus buildings and grounds.

These casual AUPE appointments are to commence as soon as possible and end June 30, 2017, with the possibility of extended employment past this date. The department operates year round, seven days per week, 24 hours per day, with two different shifts available. The evening shift begins at 4:15 p.m. and ends at 12:15 a.m. and the night shift begins at 12:15 a.m. and ends at 8:15 a.m. You may be required to work up to a maximum of 32 hours per week.

The Aquatic Centre requires Junior Lifeguard/Swimming Instructors who will be responsible for lifeguarding patrons, instructing swimming lessons, promoting a safe environment for patrons and staff, and general maintenance and cleaning.

The successful candidates will have the following qualifications: Bronze Cross, Bronze Medallion, Aquatic Emergency Care, National Lifesaving Society Certification, Water Safety Instructor Certification, and 02 Administration. Six months of experience working in an aquatic environment would be an asset.

These are casual AUPE appointments, at the Vermilion campus, commencing as soon as possible and ending June 30, 2017, with the possibility of extended employment past this date. Hours may vary.

Competition will remain open until suitable candidates are found.

The Aquatic Centre requires Senior Lifeguard/Swimming Instructors. Responsibilities include lifeguarding patrons, instructing swimming lessons, promoting a safe environment for patrons and staff, providing direction to Junior Lifeguards, and general maintenance and cleaning.

The successful candidates will have the following qualifications: Bronze Cross, Bronze Medallion, Aquatic Emergency Care, National Lifesaving Society Certification, Water Safety Instructor Certification, 02 Administration, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills. One year of experience working in an aquatic environment is required.

These are casual AUPE appointments, at the Vermilion campus, commencing as soon as possible and ending June 30, 2017, with the possibility of extended employment past this date. Hours may vary.
