Student job opportunities vary throughout the year. 

For example, during the school year recreation positions are available on campus. Lifeguard positions are available at the Vermilion pool year-round.

Summer sees a variety of jobs available in residence, on the farm, in applied research and in many of the business units such as finance and information technology.

Student Web Assistants Competition No: 17-STU-008WB

We are looking to hire two Web Assistants in Marketing.

Key responsibilities:
  • Website updates and population
  • Includes but not limited to events, program pages, calls to action, broken links, stale pages, photos, and graphics

These are Student AUPE appointments at the Vermilion campus, commencing as soon as possible and ending May 31, 2017, with the possibility of an extension to June 30, 2017.

Wage: $13.00 per hour, plus 11.2% holiday and vacation pay.

Competition will remain open until suitable candidates are found.

Summer Student Positions - Vermilion campus
Dates of employment will be during the period May 1 - August 26, 2017, and the hours of work will be 36.25 hours per week, unless otherwise indicated. The salary range is $13.00 per hour plus 11.2% holiday and vacation pay.  

Trades Lab Summer Student - Competition No:17-STU-013
Individual will assist Laboratory Technicians with assigned projects in each trade department; painting, organizing equipment and tools, cleaning, inventory, processing incoming supplies, and maintenance on equipment.

Summer Student Positions - Lloydminster campus
Equipment Room Workers (Vermilion) Competition No: 17-STU-001WB
We are seeking an Equipment Room Worker in the Recreation department.

Key responsibilities:
•Equipment and weight room supervision
•Assisting the gym and fitness area
•Cleaning
•Opening and closing of facility

Job Requirements:
•To work occasional evenings and weekends

This is a student AUPE appointment at the Lloydminster campus, commencing as soon as possible and ending September 15, 2017.
Competition will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
Student Cashiers Competition No: 17-STU-003WB
Lakeland College invites applications for Student Cashiers in the Recreation Department. Duties include cashier duties, answering phones, and taking swimming lesson registrations. Cashier experience would be an asset.

These are student appointments at the Vermilion campus, commencing as soon as possible and ending June 30, 2017.

Wage: $13.00 per hour, plus 11.2% holiday and vacation pay.

Student Research Assistants No: 17-STU-007WB
We are looking to hire two Student Research Assistants in Applied Research.
Key responsibilities:
•  Assist with seed and fertilizer preparation
•  Assist with seeding, spraying, and harvest operations
•  Assist with data collection
•  Conduct trial maintenance (eg. mowing)

These are Student AUPE appointments at the Vermilion campus, commencing May 1, 2017 and ending September 1, 2017.
Wage: $13.00 per hour, plus 11.2% holiday and vacation pay.

Competition will remain open until suitable candidates are found.
