Students were asked: What is/are the most important concept(s) you learned from this program?
  • Counseling concepts, groups, and families classes. I found they gave the most relevant information to the fields I want to enter when I graduate.
  • The concepts from Human Development I think are very important as well as the knowledge that we gained about relationships and how they affect people.
  • Every course I took was valuable to my further knowledge
  • I think that Human Development is one of the most important concepts I’ve learned this year. Because without knowing human development you wouldn't get very far in this line of work.
  • I think that the most important thing we learned was how to deal with people. I really enjoyed our counselling class and at risk class.
  • That even though people seem to have a bad past/exterior they always have a beautiful inside. Sometimes they need help to let this shine through interventions, and counselling.

  • The knowledge to help work with children with disabilities.
  • I have learned to always ask children questions that can't be answered with a yes or no.
  • I have learned how to handle children in different situations.
  • Practicum in the school area and in the daycare area helped a lot with the hands on experience.
