Academic Upgrading – Online

Lakeland College currently doesn’t offer either online or face-to-face academic upgrading programs.

For the past few years, you were able to take upgrading courses online through eCampusAlberta and choose Lakeland College as your partner institution. However, after 14 years the eCampus partnership is dissolving.

As of March 31, 2017 eCampus will be disbanded. Its catalogue of courses will be removed from its website on Jan 16, 2017.

If you require upgrading in a course or courses before pursuing a Lakeland College program, you can take those courses online through another Alberta post-secondary institution.

Real time option View More ∇
We strongly recommend the online real time delivery format whenever possible. This option means:
  • You will participate at a regularly scheduled time in a live session with an instructor.
  • Courses are live, interactive 80-minute sessions
  • Sessions run daily at scheduled times during the day or evening
  • Sessions start fall, winter, spring and summer
  • Content includes video, animations, PowerPoints and web tours
  • Each session is recorded, so you can review it
  • You have access to email, discussion boards, online char, review materials and self-tests
  • An online tutor provides one-on-one sessions

If that doesn't work for you, you can also choose online anytime delivery. This gives you more flexibility if you're working or for any one else that can't have a strict schedule.

Anytime delivery includes:
  • Interactive content including video, audio and print materials
  • Online quizzes and exams
  • Quick response (maximum 24 hours) to your questions
  • Instructors with virtual office hours
  • Online tutor for one-on-one sessions
