Street Rod Technologies – Certificate – Lloydminster

Ready to take a different road?

Customizing vehicles is much more than simply pimpin' your ride.

Lakeland College's street rod technologies program will give you to the tools to turn your passion into a career, expand your current business/career to include vehicle restoration or take your hobby to the next level.

When you graduate you'll be ready to challenge the autobody prepper apprenticeship exam, and can continue as an apprentice in this sector.

Half your time will be spent learning automotive principles in our specialized lab such as:
  • vehicle design
  • frame, suspension and driveline
  • electrical
  • basic colour principles
You'll also develop applied skills using specialized tools including power hammers, English wheels, bead rollers and paint spray guns.

You'll put that knowledge and those skills to work as you customize a vehicle--maybe even your own--while supervised by your instructors.

We've moved

Our SRT program and lab has moved from our Vermilion campus to Lloydminster. We have a new-to-us area from a generous donation to the College.

We'll have room for more students, and their projects, as well as our own classroom right at the lab.

Besides moving, we also have to do some renovations. But, we hope the shop will be ready for tours in late August.
