Pre-pharmacy – Lloydminster Campus

More Than a Pill Counter

Pharmacists are becoming an even more critical member of your health care team as they don't just dispense medicine. But if you think pharmacy is your best career choice, be prepared for the what it takes to earn your degree and license.

Pharmacy is currently one of the most competitive programs to get into. You need to spend at least one-year taking a pre-professional program. Because of the competitive nature of the program, you may wish to complete a BSc.

Qualifications for registration as a licensed pharmacist for most provinces in Canada include a B.Sc. in Pharmacy from an accredited program, certification with the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada, and completion of structured practical training.
