Finding the U in Business

Get a better perspective on our business programs and where you might fit at our business information Day, Finding the U in Business. Our next date for this event will be March 8, 2018.

Activities include:  group takes a selfie in LSA office

You don't have to wait to come to campus. Lakeland welcomes visitors all the time. Come during the school year and be a student for the day. Come to Open House in October.

Here's where the information gets more specific about particular business areas you can study at Lakeland College.

You'll hear from current students, instructors and business professionals about careers and opportunities.
  • Marketing - learn more about a career in social media marketing, techniques and approaches organizations use to market in the ever changing digital age.
  • Real Estate Appraisal and Assessment -These skills are in high demand. Find out about career possibilities you'll have from this unique Lakeland program.
  • Accounting - If you think you what an accounting career, learn more about the CPA designation from a chartered professional accountant as will as other careers in the accounting field.
  • Small Business & Entrepreneurship - Learn what it takes to run your own business.
Lunch/Fashion Show Noon - 12:45 pm MST
The 3rd annual business fashion show runs during the lunch hour. This showcase event gives students and limited budget to buy and model business attire. Business club members organize the event---n a budget--and also work on some of their soft skills such as presentation and professionalism.

All the activity is in the Servus Hospitality Centre that includes the cafeteria.

Special lunch event:
The Real Estate Appraisal and Assessment students are doing a fundraiser lunch that will also be available during the lunch hour. Please bring cash if you'd like to support these students..
Student & Parent Sessions - 1 pm MST
Choose the session for you. A panel of experts will answer the questions you want to know about among an audience of your peers.

If you're a potential student, you'll be part of an informal roundtable discussion with current business students, a residence assistant and a students' association rep. Learn and ask questions about campus life to get a picture of what it's like to be a Lakeland College student. Servus Lecture Theatre
