Services

Lost & Found
The SA Office runs a lost and found through the year. The list of missing and found items is published weekly in the campus newsletter the Express.
Rideshare & Carpools
This free SA service is for students & staff who are planning to travel.

Drivers who are heading off to somewhere and are willing to take a passenger with them can post their name, destination, travel date, and contact number. Anybody who needs a ride can also post their request. The Rideshare program sign-up sheet is posted on the Off-Campus Information board located outside the cafeteria and there is also one in the residence office.

A drive to anywhere is much more interesting when you have someone to travel with.
Yearbook
Part of your SA fees go toward the annual yearbook. If you'd like to get involved by sharing photos or working on yearbook, check out the yearbook page. The yearbook club meets weekly to work on this year's yearbook.
Class Rep Committee
The class rep committee has one student from each year of each program. The committee meets monthly (dinner provided). Reps discuss class concerns & questions and relay answers and other info back to your class.

For more information, to become a member, or to bring an issue forward, stop by the SA Office in BB 118 and talk to the VP academic, or email vsaacademic@lakelandcollege.ca. You can also talk to Jean, the Vermilion campus Students' Association General Manager.
SWAT
This committee provides issue awareness programming about  issues that affect you as a student or as a citizen.

Members help with events as varied as the Alzheimer Society Coffee Break, info about responsible alcohol use, safer sex info, Food Bank drive, BYOB (banana split night) and World AIDS day.

New programming is introduced every year.

On the webpage go to “Find used textbook”, then select school and pick Lakeland College under Alberta.

It’s free to post a book on the website; you just need to make a profile.
