The Commons

Smooth Sailing helps you stay afloat

commons sail boat logoSmooth sailing helps you stay afloat is an apt description of the services The Teaching and Learning Commons provides.

The  Commons is all about you. Our team is here to help you have a successful Lakeland experience, whether you are a student or a faculty member.

Through out both campuses you can find information and see symbols of The Commons: the ship logo and lifesaver candies! The lifesavers represent the supports and tools we have to offer students in achieving their goals. The ship represents the teamwork of the Commons Crew in their efforts to help others sail smoothly during their time at Lakeland College.

You can find us in the Libraries and in Student Services on both campuses.

All of our services are free.

Check the drop downs for specifics about each area of The Commons.

Our mission is to create personalized learning pathways for students and to support faculty in helping students realize their potential in a global society.
