Level I has 4 courses:
  • Fire Officer Communications and Background Knowledge (FOTP 250)
  • Introduction to Basic Supervisor Functions (FOTP 300)
  • Safety Regulations and Basic Investigation (FOTP 400)
  • Single-unit Incident Management (FOTP 500)
Level II has 3 courses:
  • Legal Aspects and Evaluating Performance (FOTP 600)
  • Administrative Functions and Fire Investigation (FOTP 700)
  • Multi-unit Incident Management (FOTP 800)


  1. Successful students are eligible to apply for IFSAC and ProBoard certification through the Office of the Fire Commissioner.
  2. Certification requires successful completion of NFPA 1001 Level II and NFPA 1041 Level I.
