Firefighter Training - Overview
12 Weeks to Great Credentials
In 12 weeks you’ll be ready for a hot job in municipal or industrial firefighting.
Our curriculum exceeds National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001 requirements. That’s means you’ll do more practice runs on our live training field. And, more hands-on activities in Emergency Training Centre (ETC) labs.
You’ll learn skills beyond fighting structure fires including dangerous goods response and wildland fires. As well, resume writing and mental health resilience are additional courses.
Another benefit is that this program is International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) and ProBoard accredited. This gives you the prerequisites to other NFPA professional standards training.
We offer several intakes every year including a blended learning option. In this program, you do most of the theory online and then come to ETC for your hands-on component. See our platoon schedule for more details.
