You are best prepared for university level courses with 5 grade 12, or 30-level high school courses. If you aren’t from Alberta or Saskatchewan, check the subject equivalencies page.
To start your studies at Lakeland College you need the highest level grade 12 English.
- English 30-1 (ELA 30-1) - Alberta
- ELA A30 and B30 - Saskatchewan
If you plan on taking an elementary education route you will need to take 1 or 2 university math courses
- Pure Math 30, Math 30-1 or Math 30-2 – Alberta
- Pre-calculus 30 or Foundations of Math 30 – Saskatchewan
An elementary route at the University of Alberta and University of Saskatchewan respectively require 6 and 3 science credits. So you’ll need appropriate high school courses based on your choice.
