On campus support
Our support for international students starts with our international department.
Each campus has an international support coordinator. They will be your contacts through admission and orientation, as well as once you're at Lakeland.
But they aren't your only sources of help.
Lakeland puts student success first. Our services reflect that commitment.

This includes:

- study skills
Each campus library includes research help as well as space for group work, studying, computer access and taking out books or getting interlibrary loans.
Bookstore
Bookstore
Each campus has a bookstore. Both sell more than textbooks.
This is where you can buy Lakeland clothing. Watch for sales and the sale rack.
There are also supplies such as pens, calculators and other stationery.
Each bookstore also has snacks, soft drinks, candy, giftware and art.
Stop in and see what's available.
Student Employment
Student Employment
Our student employment office posts jobs available to students and alumni. These jobs are usually off campus and out of town for the summer or permanent employment.
Most on-campus jobs are posted by our human resources department.
Off campus part-time jobs usually aren't advertised through this office. However, you can get tips on cover letters and resumes.
Our annual Career Fair and Business Job Fair are organized by our student employment coordinator.
Recreation
Recreation
Your student ID card is also how you access recreation facilities.
Although the Lloydminster gym is busy with Rustler Athletics, there are times when it's available for pick up games of sports such as basketball.
The Vermilion campus has more structured recreation sports and Lloydminster student are welcome to join.
Both campuses have weight rooms. Vermilion also has a cardio room with treadmills and stationary bikes.
As well, Vermilion's recreation centre includes:

In Lloydminster there's access to the nearby pool and special rates for the fitness centre at the Servus Sports Centre.
Computer access, Wi-fi & edu email address
Computer access, Wi-fi & edu email address
Your Lakeland edu email address is the key to signing into campus computers and Wi-Fi network.
As well, that edu address provides you with:
- free access to Grammarly - check written work for grammar, spelling and plagarism
- free access to LinkedIn Learning
- an Outlook mailbox for your Lakeland address
- using Office 365 on up to 5 devices
- access to OneDrive so you don't need a thumb drive or memory stick

There's also free Wi-Fi in residence. You might want your own connection if you stream movies, use Skype or game a lot.
Each campus has a IT help desk. If you have a problem with anything from using your edu email address to printing in a computer lab, they are your source of help.
