|What to Bring With You|
One pair of easy to clean, steel-toed boots when on the farm. No preference between shoes, boots or rubber boots, however they must be steel-toed.
Note: We recommended you have separate pairs for the college and your home farm.
As you will be driving college and farm vehicles/equipment you are required to have a Driver’s Abstract on file.
Anyone living outside of Alberta will have to go to their license issuing agency to request an abstract, if there is a cost associated with this, please bring the receipt with you on the first day of class so we can reimburse you.
For those who have an Alberta driver’s license you will be provided with forms to fill in, and then we will be able to pull your abstract (Alberta only).
You may bring this with you on your first day of class. We will be requesting the abstracts by a certain date. If no abstract is on file by that date, you will not be permitted to operate vehicles/equipment on the college farm.
|What to Buy Here|
All textbooks have been ordered and are available in the college bookstore. Lists aren't available in advance. Your instructor will advise if you are required to purchase a book for that course.
Course notes and lab handouts:
You are responsible for bringing all required resources to classes and labs.
Some course notes and lab handouts will be posted on D2L for access and printing.
You receive a $20 printing credit for college computer labs, if you run out, you can put more money on your printing account. Or, bring your own printer to minimize printing costs.
