- scissors
- small X-ACTO knife & package of replacement blades
- metric converter calculator (Sharp is a recommended brand)
- tape measure, minimum of 25 foot and has both Metric and Imperial measurements
- set of Prismacolor Scholar color pencils (set of 24 minimum, set of 60 preferred)
- good quality pencil sharpener
- cutting mat - minimum size 12" x 18"; larger is preferred
- 2 - 9" x 12" hardcover, sketch book, good quality paper
- Minimum of 6 sheets each of 12” x 12” black and white cardstock
- White gel pen
- USB memory stick with 32GB
- 2” three ring binder with lined paper
- 30 Chart Pak AD markers (from an art supply store) colours as listed:

- Instructors will notify you if/when additional graphics software is required. Student versions of these software programs are available for download.

Recommended Equipment/Supplies |
Don’t invest in any new tools until after you buy your graphic kit from the bookstore during the first week. However we encourage you to bring:
- other art/drawing supplies you already own such as pastels, paints, colored papers
- assorted tapes and glues you may already own such as magic tape, packing tape, glue gun, white glue, spray adhesive and rubber cement
- old magazines – don’t have to be design and decorating. Can be photography, travel, lifestyle and others. Don’t buy any, bring what you can. Some will also be available here.
