If you need some extra financial assistance, Lakeland College has several bursaries. Application forms are available mid-Oct to mid-Nov annually.
The 2020/21 bursary application period has now closed.
*If you are selected for a bursary you'll be notified. You'll receive your funds in January, after your first semester GPA and second semester full-time enrolment are confirmed.*

Lakeland College offers many scholarships and awards in January to recognize outstanding achievements of currently enrolled full-time students.
Recipients are selected through a process of either faculty recommendation, nomination, or by application. Final approval comes from the awards committee.

CIC Indigenous Bursary | ||||||||||
The Crown Investments Corporation of Saskatchewan (CIC) has a partnership funding agreement with Lakeland College in support of the CIC Indigenous Bursary. The intent is to provide financial aid to Indigenous students who have demonstrated involvement in leadership, management and community service activities.
5 Scholarships values at $5000 each are available yearly to students at Lakeland College who are Saskatchewan residents, Indigenous, and enrolled in the following programs:
Business
Environmental Sciences
Trades & Technology
Student must be an entering or continuing full-time student at Lakeland College, with a minimum entrance high school average of 70% or a college Grade Point Average of 70% (2.7 GPA).
Students must apply. The application is made available by the Financial Aid & Awards Office in the Spring annually.
(A second application period occurs in late fall for students starting school in the Winter term, and/or who wish to apply for the Winter term disbursement only.)

Indigenous Careers Award | ||||||||||
Available to students of Indigenous ancestry (including Status Indian/First Nations, Non-Status Indian/First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) who are:
NOTE: Proof of Indigenous ancestry is required

Metis Scholar Award | ||||||||||
Available to Métis students enrolled full-time in any certificate, diploma, or university transfer program, in any year of study. Recipients must meet the following criteria:

Lakeland College SOS Enhanced Bursary Program | ||||||||||
Available to students enrolled full-time at Lakeland College who are from Western Canada, with significant financial need. Preference given to students who are not receiving funding from an outside agency. Awarded based on financial need and satisfactory academic standing.
Bursary value and the number available vary from year to year.
