What is my library account?
This is your account on NEOS. NEOS is a consortium of post-secondary and government libraries.
You can use My Library Account to:
- view a list of materials checked out on your account
- renew items
- monitor and cancel holds
- change your PIN number
- review fines.
To log in you enter your user ID. Your user ID is the barcode number on your student or staff/faculty ID card, or if you're an online student the barcode you were emailed.
- for students, typically the last four digits of the phone number you used when you registered
- for faculty and staff, your PIN is the last four digits of your office phone number.
Where do I find my barcode?
It isn't your student number. Your barcode is the 13 digit number on your Lakeland College student ID card. Lakeland College student barcode numbers typically start with 143.
If you're an online student, library services will email you your barcode number.
if you need help with your barcode or PIN, please contact library staff.
Faculty and staff barcodes are 14 digit numbers on your Lakeland College Faculty/Staff Library card.
What's my pin?
If you're a student, your PIN is the last 4 digits of the phone number you gave when you registered.
If you don't know your PIN, follow the on-screen instructions located on the NEOS log in page. Look for a small tile labelled Get my PIN.

If you lost your student ID card, go to student services for a replacement.
Staff and faculty PINs are typically are the last 4 digits of your office phone number. If you do not know your PIN, follow the on-screen instructions located at on the log in page and look for the tile Get my PIN?
Visit the library if you need a new or replacement card.
Changing your PIN -- If you want to change your PIN, follow the on-screen instructions for changing your PIN on NEOS.
Please note: If you change your PIN, off-campus access to databases will not work until the next morning as the remote authentication database is updated overnight.
What is One Stop Search?
One Stop Search is a research tool that allows you to search resources including the Library Catalogue and article databases at the same time.
Please note that not all databases are included in One Stop Search. Go our A-Z database listing to search specific databases.
What is off campus or remote access?
Most databases and other online tools are free access to our students, faculty and staff. If you aren’t at Lakeland College on our network (college computer), you have to verify that you really do have access to these tools.
This includes when you’re using our campus Wi-Fi network.
So you’ll need to log in using your Library barcode and PIN. Your library barcode is the 13 digit number your Lakeland College student ID card or the library barcode provided to online students.

Your PIN is the last 4 digits of the phone number you gave when you registered.
What is NEOS?
NEOS is a consortium of government, health, college and university NEOS libraries that cooperate to share library resources, technology, collections and people.
Your library account takes you to NEOS to search all its libraries.
