We are recruiting a Class A Gasfitter to work in British Columbia area at our remote camps.

In this role, you will:
- Work in remote locations
- Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required
- Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment
- Install and maintain gas meters and regulators and gas lines between gas unit and gas meter
- Install, maintain and service gas heating units and their components, such as burners, valves and automatic controls
- Test and replace defective equipment or components
- Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices
- Attend to gas escape calls and assist in the investigation
- Prepare reports on condition of facilities
- May repair and service gas appliances and related equipment
- Participate in any other site-specific training

Our ideal candidate will have:
- Valid inter-provincial Red Seal certification trade qualification
- Completion of a four to five-year apprenticeship program with Red Seal endorsement
- Intermediate computer skills
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic are a must
- Valid driver’s license for any vehicle that may be utilized for the job
- Certification in workplace hazardous materials information system (WHMIS)
- Certification in Transportation of dangerous goods (TDG)
- Minimum of 3 years or more of progressively related experience in remote camp installation or industrial setting
- Experience in remote site
- Strong knowledge of regulations regarding building codes
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures within the construction field
- Detail and results oriented with the ability to adhere to shifting priorities and deadlines
Having the following valid tickets would be considered an asset:

•Bear Awareness
•Fall Protection
•Standard First Aid or higher
•Confined Space
•Intermediate computer skills
