Ceremonies are held at other times during the academic year for Trades and Technology and Fire and Emergency Services.
  • Governor General’s Medal – Presented to the student who graduates with the highest academic standing in a Lakeland College diploma-level program. The recipient is Shelby Robbins of Daysland, Alta., a graduate of the Animal Health Technology program at the Vermilion campus.
  • President’s Medal (Vermilion campus) – Presented to a graduating student at each campus who has demonstrated excellence in academics and leadership in student activities. This year’s Vermilion campus recipient is Jana MacLeod of Fort McMurray, Alta., a graduate of the Animal Health Technology program.

As one of the top-selling cookbook authors in the world, Paré’s name appears on more than 200 cookbooks. In 2003, Paré was awarded the Queen Elizabeth Golden Jubilee Medal, and in 2004 she was made a Member of the Order of Canada.
