You’ll find options across most of our schools. They vary from accounting technician to Street Rod Technologies.

Some options are less than year, such as the 12-week Firefighter Training and 16-week Pre-Employment trades programs.

Whether local or from a small high school, we’re a great transition to a larger institution in a bigger city. You’ll be ready to make the leap.

Apprenticeship &

Advance in your chosen trade by training at Lakeland!

Technical training is Alberta apprenticeship’s curriculum. But it comes with the Lakeland advantage – our instructors, our labs, our services and supports.

We also offer Pre-Employment programs. A 16-week way to try-a-trade that prepares you to challenge 1st period exams.

Boost your skills and work force readiness by staying an extra year for a double major.

This route is a common one in Agriculture, Business and Environment.

In Human Services, stay an extra year and expand your career options.

2 + 2 Options
(Diploma to Degree)

Take the 2 + 2 route, and In 4 years you could have both a diploma and degree.

Transfer agreements with universities across Western Canada and beyond mean you can double your credentials. Your diploma courses provide credits towards a university degree.

Degree Completion

We're excited to offer 23 different pathways to 8 different degrees without leaving our Lloydminster campus. 22 of those options are through Athabasca University and the other is a specialized BEd through the University of Alberta.
