A group of people holding up t-shirts and a sign.Lakeland is opening its doors to future students and their families on Friday, Oct. 17 and Saturday, Oct. 18 at both the Lloydminster and Vermilion campuses to explore 50-plus programs and countless career opportunities.

This two-day event is packed with interactive activities designed to showcase the award-winning, hands-on learning Lakeland is known for.

“Open House is the best way for anyone considering Lakeland to see what it’s really like,” says Dana Gard-Sweeney, supervisor of recruitment and enrolment at Lakeland. “When you attend Open House, you have the chance to engage in hands-on activities, learn about the Lakeland experience from current students, ask faculty questions, tour the labs and learning spaces where your learning comes alive, and so much more.”

In addition to fun opportunities to take Rowdy Mascot selfies and the chance to win Lakeland swag, those who apply while visiting campus also get an extra perk – free application. Lakeland is waiving the application fee on campus during Open House.

“Whether you’re ready to embark on your post-secondary journey next fall or explore your options before you graduate high school, prepare for a new career path or want to support your child’s future, Open House is where you’ll have your questions answered,” says Gard-Sweeney. “Plus, we’ll share all the support services available to help you succeed, including our student awards program, tutoring, accommodations, wellness supports and more. Our goal is your future success as a Lakeland student and beyond.”
