DF BETTIN ON A RUNNER “Boon” is a 2023 registered AQHA gelding by PC BOONS RUNNER and out of DF FROSTED CALYX. He has a correct build, solid feet and currently stands 15 hh. Boon is athletic and is sure to get you noticed with his eye-catching colour. His lineage goes back to the legendary SUN FROST on both the top and bottom, having progeny earnings of over 20 million. Boon is eligible for Breeders Elite, Breeders Elite Roping, NAERIC and Western Fortunes.
Boon is in your pocket, friendly and easy to catch. This free mover loves to travel with a big stride and a fantastic mindset. Boon has been developing great body control with his side-pass, two-track and spin. He has a solid foundation and is eager to work. He has been over bridges, through obstacles and dragged the log. Boon has been tracking the dummy and roping live cattle. Whether you want to take him to the Roping or Barrel pen, Boon has the athleticism, mind, and pedigree to be taken in any direction. He is UTD on vaccinations, deworming, shoeing, and dental care.
NICKED DUALLY, aka "Chubs," is a 2023 AQHA gelding standing at 14.1hh. He is out of NIC IT LENA, by JAZZ UP MY DUALLY. His grandsire DUAL PEP is a 25+ million-dollar stallion with an LTE of $307,384 as well as a #3 All Time Leading Cutting Maternal Grandsire and #5 All Time Leading Cutting Sire. His granddam SMART LIL JAZALENA has an LTE of $145,809 in the NCHA.
With Chub's unique colouring and good confirmation, he will be a great addition to your herd. With the correct finish, Chubs can excel in the non-pro cow horse events or be a great breakaway/team roping competitor. Chubs' athleticism is easy to see, with his quick feet and balanced movement, as well as his powerful stop.
Chubs has been developing great body control. With his side-pass, two-track, and spin, you will be able to move in any direction with him. He has faced many obstacles and persevered with a brave attitude. With his natural bravery and curiosity, Chubs handles obstacles with ease, such as going over the bridge, through the carwash, through the streamers, and over a tarp. You can swing a rope off Chubs; he has been roping the heel-o-matic and would make a great addition to the heeling pen. We have roped live cattle doing both breakaway roping and a branding-style heel shot. The cow horse in his pedigree shines when he is around cattle. Not only has he shown a keen interest in roping, but also in working the flag and live cattle.
Chubs has great ground manners and has learned to be respectful; he stands while being saddled and mounted. He is good to lunge, bathe, and bridle. Chubs has had 2 trims and 2 sets of shoes put on over the school year. He is up to date on vaccines and dewormer. A health folder will also be provided with the purchase of Chubs during the sale.
NICS DUAL BADGER “AJ” is a 2023 AQHA sorrel gelding that stands at 14.2 hands tall. AJ has been started under saddle through the Lakeland College Colt Starting Program. AJ’s sire, JAZZ UP MY DUALLY, is a known cutting-bred stallion. He also traces back to PEPPY SAN BADGER with an LTE of $172,711. AJ’s dam, NIC O LENA LASSIE, traces back to NIC O LENA BADGER, who competed at Canada’s Greatest Horseman in 2010.
AJ has been developing great body control with his side-pass, two-track and spin. This gelding has worked the flag, logged, and pulled the roping dummy for classmates. AJ enjoys tracking the roping dummy and has been started on live cattle. AJ could be a promising non-pro cow horse or rope horse. He is UTD on vaccinations, shoeing and deworming.
If you have a budding trick rider in your family, AJ may be the horse for you! Haylie frequently uses AJ as a jungle gym, from roman riding, to sliding off his butt, AJ has seen it all. He is very honest and is an average keeper. AJ stands while being saddled, for the farrier and has good ground manners. He is a lover and is happy when given a job. AJ has been bathed multiple times and gets along with other horses around him.
OOPS FANCY WRANGLERS, “Jack,” is a solid 15.1hh, 2023 AQHA Sorrel gelding started through the Lakeland College Colt Starting program. Jack traces back to WRANGLER WAR LEO, who is known for his title as a World Champion Working Cow Horse, and for producing many successful Cow Horse and Reining offspring. Jack also goes back to PEPPY SOL ANSON with an LTE of 43k in NRHA.
Jack has a solid walk, trot, canter, stop, turn on haunches, simple lead changes and side pass. He has been introduced to cattle and roping with a breakaway hondo. Jack would make an excellent Ranch or Rope Horse prospect! He has been ridden out on the trail, can pony other horses and has been used to flag other horses. He is UTD on vaccinations, shoeing and deworming.
Jack has proven to be a dependable, willing partner who handles every situation with ease and confidence. You can stick anyone on this guy; he has a calm, honest temperament and would be great for riders at all levels. Jack has great ground manners, stands well for the farrier, is easy to catch, ties, lunges, bathes and gets along well with other horses.
SSS DUALLYS LIL PEP “Capone” is a 2022 AQHA chestnut gelding that stands at 14.3hh. Capone has been started through the Lakeland College Colt Starting Program. Capone traces back to IM CHAIRMAN, who was a finalist in NRHA and Cutting events. IM CHAIRMAN is by GRAYS STARLIGHT, an NRCHA million-dollar sire with an LTE of $35,000. Capone goes back to REMINIC, who is an NRHA million-dollar sire and NRCHA leading sire, and MISS DUAL DOC, who is a top money earner producing a broodmare.
Capone is a flashy, well-balanced gelding with a strong hip. He is a smooth mover and has been developing good body control, working on his spins, side-pass, and two-track. He has a big stop and naturally carries himself over the hocks. This eye-catching gelding should stand out in any performance program!
Capone is confident in tracking and roping the dummy and live cattle. He has participated in obstacle courses, dragging logs, working the flag, crossing bridges and tarps. Capone is the first to meet you at the gate with his friendly disposition. He has great ground manners, clips, baths and is good for the farrier. With his natural cow sense and strong pedigree, Capone should excel at roping, ranching, or in the show pen.

OAV 1N is an easy fleshy bull that is a sound bull with a ton of rib shape and mass to him. His dam is a strong footed cow with a beautiful udder. His paternal sub is a standout heifer calf that we sold in the Northern Select Angus sale to Crescent Creek Angus.

OAV 13N has been a standout in the bullpen since day one, recognized for his natural muscling and exceptional structural soundness. With his overall build and presence, there was no doubt he would be a part of our show string. Backed by proven cow and bull power, he combines calving ease with the balance and correctness to work on a wide range of cows. 13N offers a large spring of rib, strong angus characteristics, added muscle, and a smooth, attractive design while maintaining the substance and durability needed for long-term use. A true heifer bull with eye appeal and functionality, out of the well-known 4Z cow here at Lakeland College, a female recognized for passing down consistency, milking ability and have large growthy calves with a high rate of gain that are passed down onto her offspring.
OAV 14N is an embryo transfer yearling bull. This bull has smooth shoulders with a lot of muscling within him, and a correct set of feet and legs. If you are in need of a heifer or herd bull, this is your guy with a birth weight of 74lbs. Don't miss out on a great bull.
OAV 17N is a rare bull that offers the complete package, including a strong topline and a powerful, well-muscled hind end. This bull's quiet, well-mannered temperament makes him a pleasure to handle and a reliable addition to any herd. OAV 18N is a super wide topped, big footed bull coming from the SAV bloodline. His dam OAV lady Mac 67C was a super proven cow here at the college. Performance wise, 18N brings mass and depth of body to the table.
OAV 23N is a powerful Black Angus sired by Greenwood Sold Out 58L and out of OAV Holly of Veralta 2H. With a 67lb birth weight, 23N combines calving ease potential with sound structure and balance. He is built to be a reliable long term herd sire to fit any commercial or purebred operation.
OAV 25N is a sound structured bull with strong pedigree both maternally and paternally going back to Allendale cow and bull. He is a calving ease bull that has a 73 lb BW! He's a sound structured bull that has got a ton of mass and rib shape.
OAV 26N is a moderate framed bull with built-in calving ease. 26N is stout with lots of rib and muscle, ranking in the top 5% of our yearling weight percentile. He follows in his sire's footsteps closely and is sure to add performance and value to your calf crop.
