The Tasks tile has 2 types of information:

  • To Dos
  • Holds

The To Do list helps you keep track of documents you are required to send us that support your application.

This information is stored in 2 places

  • in the Tasks tile
  • in the Admissions tile

Items on your To Do list depend on the program you've applied to take.

Most programs just need an official transcript showing you have successfully completed all the required courses or credential for your program.

Other programs require more such as a medical release form or work experience record.

Your program specific requirements will be on your To Do list.

Once you've submitted a document and the admissions team has determined that it meets all the requirements for that item, they will mark is complete and it'll disappear from your To Do list.

When there are no more items showing on your To Do list, this means that all admission requirements have been completed and you have full admission.

If you want more information about the document that you need to provide, you can click on that row.

Due dates can be difficult to interpret. When viewing dates on a computer, they should default to MM/DD/YYYY. On a mobile device the dates may display as either MM/DD or DD/MM depending on device settings. If you're uncertain if the due date is Aug 5 or May 8, check how your birthday is displayed under the Profile tile and use that to know if the month or the day is listed first.

If this doesn't help, please reach out to the My Lakeland help desk.

Required are items our admissions team haven't received.

Received are items the admission team has received and are being reviewed for a decision.

Doesn’t Meet Requirements are items our admissions team reviewed but don't meet the document and/or program requirements. Typically, you will receive an email explaining the admissions team's assessment.

It really depends on the hold.

If you are suspended, you’ll see the end date for your suspension. Once that day has passed, the hold will be removed from your record.

If you have outstanding fees, you’ll need to pay to reinstate college services. Those services include but aren’t limited to obtaining a decision on your application to a program, requesting a transcript and graduating.

Many holds are information about your financial account and there isn’t anything that you need to do. This information is provided to help you understand your financial account.

For example, if you are receiving government student aid, details about the dollar amount being sent directly to Lakeland will be recorded in holds.

Lakeland also records information about sponsorships and specific awards.

Government student aid information is recorded in holds.

Government student aid comes in many forms. It can be a loan or a grant from the provincial or federal government. We group loans and or grants together as government student aid

Your account shows the start date and end date of the applicable aid. As well, you'll see the amount sent directly to Lakeland.
