Academics may be a primary reason for coming to college. But supporting you as a student extends further than just you attending classes.
All of our academic services and campus life supports and activities are outlined in more detail in the current students section of the website.
In this overview, we want to make you aware of all the services, facilities, and people ready to help you be successful.
Most of these supports are available through our Teaching and Learning Commons. This includes everything from the library to tutors.
Academic advisors or school chairs offer help with course and further study options.
We have residence villages on both campuses. Buildings and rooms are different.
Each campus has a cafeteria. Neither is open for supper, but there are declining balance meal plans.
Not only is there a student health and dental plan, Lakeland also has a wellness advisor and counsellors along with a campus nurse.
Indigenous support services cover four areas: culture, wellness, finances, and academics.
Our international team helps you both before you arrive at Lakeland and after you're here.
Our Rustlers are part of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference, the Canadian Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, and western Canadian rowing.
Vermilion's recreation centre includes a pool, weight room, racquet sport courts, and gym. The Lloydminster weight room and gym are available when Rustler athletes aren't practicing and training. However, you can get a student rate pass for the Servus Sports Centre and Bioclean Aquatic Centre.
Each campus has a library, the heart of the Teaching and Learning Commons.
Our campus bookstores take their name from all of the textbooks you'll find there. But books aren't their only business.
This is also where you'll find Lakeland apparel and gift items, snacks, art, and assorted stationery supplies.
Not only an advocate for you, the SA also has a student pub on each campus and organizes numerous events and activities. It starts with registration BBQs on your first day.
Parking and security are two of the most commonly used campus services.
