Dig into both the science and business of the crop sector with our crop technology program.
You'll learn agronomy, precision farming, sustainability and financial management.
You aren’t confined to classrooms. You’ll also get your hands dirty on the Student-Managed Farm - Powered by New Holland.
Use and calibrate the newest agricultural technology and software. You may even get a chance to try the latest New Holland combine.
Teamwork and collaboration are a big part of your SMF experience. As part of the crop unit you’ll make real world decisions about:
- what to grow on the college farm
- managing production through to harvest
- how to market and when to sell your corps
On the business side, gain understanding about working with accountants, banks and business partners.
Along the way you’ll develop leadership and job skills. As a crop technology graduate, you’re prepared to run your own farm or work in the retail agriculture sector.
