3rd Class Power Engineering

Take the next step in your power engineering career with online 3rd Class training.

Most refineries, upgraders and plants that have more than 15,000 kW steam generation require 3rd class power engineers to operate their equipment.

4th Class Steam Time

Get accredited steam time through Lakeland College to complete your power engineering certification.

You’ll use our 4th class steam lab at the Lloydminster campus.

The lab is approved by the Alberta Boilers Safety Association as meeting the firing time requirements and practical experience to gain full certification.

Intro to Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams

Arm yourself with skills to communicate more easily with tradesmen, engineers and construction personnel with this introductory course.
At the most basic level you'll learn to read and understand P&ID drawings.

Gain confidence in your math and physics skills before you start a 4th class power engineering program.

In 90-days you'll cover both applied math and applied mechanics (physics).
