Go beyond your Lakeland classroom and right into the classroom of your future students.
Start, or complete, a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree on our Lloydminster campus.
You'll really know if you are cut out for teaching when you get to interact with students in a school setting. It may be in a PEDS class where you work with elementary or junior high students, or take your Math Fair game to grade 3s.
To determine how many credits you can take at Lakeland, we will consider where you plan to finish your degree, your desired teaching level and your subject area specializations, if applicable.
We have two collaboration options that allow you to complete your degree locally.
- The Aboriginal Teacher Education Program (ATEP) through the University of Alberta. This is an elementary education route. Please note that students must be Indigenous.
- The University of Calgary's Community-Based Bachelor of Education. Students can complete an elementary or secondary route.
