Start a nursing degree at Lakeland College.

Through our collaboration with the University of Saskatchewan, you can take 30 credits (one year) of your pre-professional requirements. Afterward, you’ll apply to the USask to continue your studies, with the option to stay at Lakeland (Lloydminster) or transfer to another USask location. You’d go on to complete 3 years of specific nursing courses at USask to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

If you're interested in another university, we don't recommend starting a nursing degree at Lakeland. Most nursing programs are direct entry. While transfers may be possible, you likely wouldn't receive credit for an entire year.

RNs may go on to specialize in a specific area such as community health, critical care, emergency and occupational health. With further education, you may become a nurse practitioner.
