You might know it as exam invigilation or test administration services. Whatever the name, if you need to write an exam, Lakeland College has a neutral, secure location to write an exam.

Our Exam Centre will assist with your exam's specific needs and requirements. We will ensure the security and confidentiality of the test material and your exam results.

Exams can be from:

  • post-secondary institutions
  • businesses and professional training
  • certifying organizations

We work with individuals, groups, agencies and organizations.

Testing services are available for both:

  • paper exams
  • online exams

Some examples of the types of exams we've hosted:

  • completing an online or correspondence course
  • earning accreditation or certification
  • completing admission/entrance exams and requirements
  • completing professional development courses

The Lakeland College Exam Centre is an approved and accredited exam centre for:

  • Athabasca University
  • All post-secondary institutions
  • Meazure Learning/Yardstick
  • PearsonVue
  • PSI
  • WPI (Water Professionals International) Alberta and Saskatchewan Water Exam Credentials

The Exam Centre schedules exams Mondays through Thursdays with exam times of 9 am and 1 pm. Please use our booking form to tell us what exam you need to write and the date you'd like to write it. Please be specific regarding what date you want to write your exam and what institution or examining body you are writing from.

Additional fees apply for:

  • exams written on weekends or outside normal business hours
  • closed sitting exams

Should you require an exam proctor on a specific date, please contact us at 780 871 5746. Exam dates requested outside of regular business hours or during scheduled closures are subject to additional fees and proctor availability.

The last day to write an exam prior to the summer break is June 25, 2026

The Exam Centre operates on a reduced schedule throughout the summer.

Open exam dates will be set in spring of 2026. 

Exam appointments are subject to availability. You are encouraged to contact the Exam Centre at least 2 weeks in advance to schedule exams on your preferred dates. Please allow 2 to 5 business days to receive a response to your inquiry. Please contact us by phone, email or fill out our booking form.

Include your contact information, the type of exam and your preferred date when leaving a message or sending an email.

Please ensure you specify the date you want to write.

Lakeland College is an authorized CAEC test centre, please visit the Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) page to find out how to sign up and prepare for the exams.

CAEC is a series of 5 exams and a candidate must sign up and schedule each exam part individually.
